Location: the hotel was near to the train station and a rural township, very close to the Uno port train line and a big garden and friendly staff. Got tidy japanese-style dormitory room with a view when arrived, truly enjoyed that...

the staff at Okayama Hostel Igusa were some of the kindest people I've encountered during my travels. the accommodations were basic, but very clean and comfortable. I especially appreciated the extra blankets they provided, as it can get chilly in the house. the kitchen area and living room were great spaces to relax and socialize with other guests. the neighborhood was peaceful and quiet, perfect for some much-needed relaxation. If you're looking to experience the real Japan at a slow pace, I highly recommend staying at Igusa. 👍.

The hostel was very affordable and the staff were super friendly and welcoming. The rooms were comfortable, with good beds and cozy bedding. The surrounding area was nice and quiet, perfect for a peaceful stay. I loved the beautiful rice fields nearby, it was a scenic and serene sight. Plus, the location was convenient with the train station not far away and regular trains running.
There wasn't much in the vicinity, so if you're looking for a lot of entertainment options or attractions close by, this might not be the ideal choice. Also, the insulation in the house was very poor, as it was an old traditional Japanese building.

Convenient for families with up to 2 children under 6 years old, Okayama Hostel Igusa is perfectly located near Fukazako Park and Muscat Stadium. We had a wonderful time exploring these attractions with our little ones, creating precious family memories. The hostel's traditional Japanese style and beautiful garden added to the charm of our stay, making it a unique and memorable experience.
For dads, it would be great to have more child-friendly amenities available, such as a playground or kids' activities.

Staying at this hostel was an absolute game-changer! The traditional building was mind-blowing, transporting me to another world. The fact that Okayama was just a stone's throw away was super convenient, and the short walk from the station was a breeze. And let's talk about the price - it was unbelievably cheap! But the highlight of my stay was definitely the recommended sushi shop. The sushi was jaw-droppingly delicious, a true culinary delight. this hostel exceeded all my expectations and I can't wait to go back!

The location of the hostel is really convenient, as it is really close to the station, making it easy to get around. The surrounding area is peaceful and rural, giving a true sense of Japanese countryside. The rooms are clean and welcoming, with traditional tatami mats and futons. The staff at the hostel are friendly and accommodating, providing great service. Additionally, the hostel offers the opportunity to cook and eat together, creating a sense of community among the guests.
One downside is that there are not many dining options in the area, requiring some effort to find places to eat.
